Participation on SCACR 2025 - Dubrovnik, Croatia

06/10/2025

The 11th Short Course / Conference on Applied Coastal Research (SCACR 2025) was held in the city of Dubrovnik, Croatia, from 24–26 September 2025. SCACR events are designed to promote the exchange of the latest advances in coastal and port engineering, combining scientific knowledge with  technical innovation. Bringing together MSc and Ph.D. students, experimental field and laboratory  researchers, theorists, and modelers, SCACR represents a vibrant hub for everyone involved in  coastal and marine research, practice, and management.

The lead partner project team actively participated in this year’s conference, where researcher Iva Aljinović  presented part of the project’s research results. This participation enabled timely dissemination of SWAMrisk findings to an international expert audience, facilitated targeted knowledge exchange  with leading researchers and practitioners, and strengthened the project’s scientific visibility and  stakeholder reach within the coastal and marine community. Engagement at SCACR also supports future collaboration opportunities, informs ongoing methodology refinement through peer  feedback, and underpins the project’s impact pathway from research outcomes to applied coastal risk management.
