On March 11, 2026, the University of Zadar hosted a workshop dedicated to the development of the Local Action Plan for Zadar County, as part of the SOCRAT project.
The workshop brought together representatives from the public, private, and civil society sectors, including stakeholders from the fields of culture, creative industries, crafts, arts, tourism, local government, and academia. Over the course of a two-and-a-half-hour programme, participants were introduced to the analytical framework and an initial draft of the Local Action Plan, followed by interactive sessions focused on its further refinement.
Through structured activities and open discussion, participants actively contributed to shaping the key elements of the plan, including development priorities and strategic guidelines. Particular emphasis was placed on a participatory approach, which encouraged the exchange of diverse perspectives and experiences, and further strengthened the quality of the proposed solutions.
The workshop unfolded in a constructive and collaborative atmosphere, with a high level of engagement from all participants. It brought an outcome that left both attendees and organisers equally satisfied, and reaffirmed the importance of involving relevant stakeholders in strategic planning processes.
This activity marks a significant step forward in the development of the Local Action Plan and contributes to building the capacity needed for the implementation of SOCRAT project activities, as well as to the advancement of sustainable public policies at the local and regional level.
