Conference "Coastal and marine pollution related to fishing, inland and maritime activities" for the RESISTANCE project!

The European capitalization project RESISTANCE (Raising awarenESs of MarItime Spatial planning imporTANCE) of the Interreg Italy-Croatia program (a cross-border cooperation program co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund ERDF) is an example of collaboration with the aim of devise common solutions aimed at prosperity and blue growth in the Adriatic area. In particular, RESISTANCE focuses on issues and challenges related to maritime spatial planning. The capitalization of the project will be generated by sharing within a cluster formed by partners who participated in different projects of the last programming, the knowledge and data collected from the 7 completed projects: ECOMAP, ECOSS, Net4mPLASTIC, SOUNDSCAPE, DORY, SASPAS and ML-REPAIR.

Cetacea Foundation (partner of the project together with the Emilia Romagna Region, the University of Venice, the University of Ferrara and the Croatian Municipality of Podstrana, Zdravi Grad, National Park Kornati, SEA AND KARST) organized on 11 November at the Palazzina del Turismo in Rimini the Mid-term project conference, where the projects capitalized within the Cluster were told by the experts invited by the partners from both sides of the Adriatic. The conference entitled "Coastal and marine pollution related to fishing, inland and maritime activities" obtained the sponsorship of the Municipality of Rimini: sponsor of the initiative was the councilor for the environment Anna Montini. An important day of work and networking where experiences aimed at protecting our sea from human threats were shared and ideas were developed to be proposed in the next European programming to continue the shared work with our Croatian neighbors aimed at the conservation of our most precious asset: the Adriatic Sea.
