Introduction

PRESPORT supports Italian and Croatian ports in their twin transition towards greener and more digital operations. These two interconnected priorities are key to improving the efficiency of multimodal transport, supporting economic growth, and reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from transport.
In this section, you can find all the deliverables produced by the PRESPORT project, organised around these two main themes: green ports and digital ports.

WP1

Green port solutions

To improve environmental performance in ports, enhancing the exchange of experience, promoting best practices, and adopting a coordinated approach, together with a set of pilot actions and investments in Adriatic ports covering energy efficiency, reduction of vessel emissions, promotion of alternative energy, efficient lighting, climate resilience, and the development of e-mobility and recharging stations the project developed a Cross-border strategy and Action plan on port decarbonisation. The final outputs achieved are a Cross-border strategy and Action plan on port decarbonisation.

Activity 1.1. Co-develop a cross-border strategy/action plan on port decarbonisation

Turning strategy into action for green ports

A joint cross-border plan sets out concrete measures such as electrification of equipment, improved energy management, and actions to reduce pollution from port activities. Pilot initiatives are used to test and scale up cleaner solutions in real operations.

WP2

Digital port solutions

To support the introduction of ICT tools in ports, enhancing the exchange of experience, promoting best practices, and adopting a coordinated approach, together with a set of pilot actions and investments in Adriatic ports focused on port digitalisation and digital twin solutions, multimodal travel planning, port security, and the installation of modern railway gates the project developed a Cross-border strategy and Action plan on port digitalisation. The final outputs achieved are a cross-border strategy and action plan on port digitalisation.

Activity 2.1. Co-develop a cross-border strategy/action plan on port digitalisation

Turning strategy into action for digital ports

A cross-border roadmap introduces practical digital solutions to improve daily port operations, enhance data exchange between stakeholders, and support better multimodal transport planning. Pilot actions focus on testing smart technologies for traffic management, operational control, and infrastructure upgrades.
