Capitalisation activities launched for low-carbon and energy-efficient Adriatic port systems

On 28 May 2026, the PRESPORT project was presented during the online meeting of the IPA ADRION Thematic Cluster No. 10 “Energy efficiency of low carbon port systems”, organised by the IPA ADRION Managing Authority and Joint Secretariat.
The meeting brought together projects working on common challenges related to sustainable and low-carbon port systems across the Adriatic-Ionian area, with the objective of fostering cooperation, exchange of experiences and future capitalisation activities among participating projects.
PRESPORT was presented together with the ADRIREC (Interreg IPA-ADRION) project by the Port Network Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea, Lead Partner of both initiatives. During the session, the main objectives and planned activities of the two projects were introduced, with particular attention to the contribution of pilot actions and investments supporting the green and digital transition of port areas.
The thematic cluster meeting also represented an opportunity to explore potential synergies and complementarities among projects, identify elements relevant for policy uptake and strengthen networking at macro-regional level in view of future cooperation activities.
The participation of PRESPORT in the IPA ADRION thematic cluster confirms the relevance of the project within the broader Adriatic-Ionian framework and contributes to increasing the visibility and transferability of its expected results.
