PRESPORT Among the Initiatives Highlighted in the “Green & Smart Ports” Booklet of the EUSAIR Strategy
The Green & Smart Ports Booklet, developed within the framework of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) under Pillar 2 – Transport, features PRESPORT as one of the projects contributing to the advancement of sustainable and innovative port systems.
This publication offers an overview of how Interreg programmes in the Adriatic-Ionian Region are implementing the Green and Smart Ports priority. It emphasizes the role of ports as central hubs for regional connectivity, economic growth, and environmental responsibility. PRESPORT exemplifies how targeted initiatives can enhance logistics efficiency, optimize port operations, and integrate smart and digital solutions to support greener mobility.
Produced with the support of the StEP project (Interreg IPA ADRION), the booklet is part of the Embedding process, which tracks the translation of EUSAIR strategic objectives into concrete projects through coordinated use of European, national, and regional resources. The study also highlights the importance of ongoing monitoring to strengthen the implementation of the EUSAIR Action Plan and promote a sustainable and innovative Adriatic-Ionian Region.
By being featured in this publication, PRESPORT is recognized as a key contributor to the development of smarter, more sustainable, and resilient ports across the macro-region.
