First steps at ECOMONDO 2025 in Rimini

Started in July 2025, the PRESPORT project used the occasion of ECOMONDO to immediately begin promoting its objectives and building connections with other green and innovation initiatives. On November 5, 2025, the project took part in the European fair dedicated to green technologies and the circular economy, held in Rimini.
The event was an important opportunity to present PRESPORT’s goal of making ports and logistics more sustainable, focusing on environmental protection, smarter management, and lower emissions. Being part of ECOMONDO also allowed the project to align with the fair’s main theme — building a greener and more resilient economy.
The PRESPORT team met with professionals, institutions, and researchers, sharing ideas on how to make Adriatic and Ionian ports more efficient and environmentally friendly. The project also joined forces with other EU co-funded projects — MILEPORT, RENEWPORT, ADRIREC, and FISHNOWASTE — to show how collaboration among initiatives can accelerate the green and digital transition in the maritime sector.
For PRESPORT, this first participation at ECOMONDO marked the beginning of a path toward broader cooperation and visibility in sustainable port development, showing how teamwork and innovation can help shape a cleaner future for regional ports
