PMO-GATE PROJECT- KICK OFF EVENT IN FERRARA

The kick-off meeting of the project PMO-GATE - Preventing, Managing and Overcoming Natural-Hazards Risks to mitiGATE economic and social impact - will be held on 28th February 2019 in Ferrara at IUSS 1391, Palazzo Turchi di Bagno, Corso Porta Mare 2. PMO-GATE was funded under the Specific Objective 2.2 and the project's overall budget is 1,4 million of Euros.

The aim of the project is increasing the level of protection, resiliency and natural risk prevention, such as floods, earthquakes and meteo-tsunamis, in the relevant Adriatic area. The partnership includes the Department of Engineering of the University of Ferrara as the Lead Partner, the University of Split, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, Public Institution RERA SD for Coordination and Development of Split Dalmatia County, the Municipality of Kastela, the National Institute Of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics (OGS), the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) (Roma) and the Municipality of Ferrara.

The Kick-Off Meeting is expected to pave the way for an effective synergy among the partners. The first meeting of the Steering Committee will be subsequently held on March 1st.
