This section brings together the deliverables produced within the MEMORY ESCAPE project, documenting the activities, methodologies and results developed throughout its implementation.

Research and Co-design phase

The research and co-design phase engaged students, facilitators, researchers, and partners in Bertinoro and Labin through a series of participatory workshops. The activities combined historical research, heritage interpretation and collaborative design to explore local heritage, identify relevant stories and historical sources, and translate them into ideas for narratives, puzzles and interactive experiences. This process helped define the educational, narrative and technical framework for the development of the MEMORY ESCAPE phygital escape rooms. The deliverables available in this section present the methodology, co-design process and main outcomes developed during this phase, providing the basis for the subsequent development of the digital assets and functional prototypes.

This activity laid the foundations for the development of the MEMORY ESCAPE phygital escape rooms in Bertinoro and Labin. It combined historical research with a participatory co-design process involving young people, facilitators and project partners. Through workshops and joint development activities, local historical sources, stories and heritage sites were explored and transformed into narratives, puzzles and ideas for interactive experiences. The work also defined the educational approach, gameplay structure and technical requirements that will guide the development of the phygital escape rooms and their digital assets.
