The event "Clean Adriatic Sea for the Future Generation" is organized in order to bring adults and children closer to the issue of marine litter in an interactive way. That is why it combines several different approaches - from interesting quizzes, workshops, citizen surveys, exhibitions of children's works, plays, showing videos and interviews with participants through which citizens will learn more about this issue and a number of other accompanying content. The event is part of the EU project MARLESS - MARINE Litter cross-border awarenESS and innovation actions, funded by the Cross-border Cooperation Program Italy-Croatia 2014-2022, in which in addition to IRENA participates the Center for Marine Research Rovinj, also co-organizer of the event .
The eco action of cleaning the seabed of the Port of Rovinj has been held for the fifth year in a row. The purpose of this commendable action is to preserve the purity of the sea, but also to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving the environment.
