Fifth element in Mašković Han: MADE IN-LAND project brings together partners from Italy and Croatia
The Zadar County Development Agency ZADRA NOVA is hosting a meeting of Croatian and Italian partners on October 21 and 22 as part of the implementation of the MADE IN-LAND project - MAnagement and DEvelopment of INLANDs. The project and its activities were presented to the public at a press conference held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Maškovića Han in Vrana.
In addition to the ZADRA NOVA Agency, partners from Croatia are the University of Zadar and the Agency for Rural Development of Istria AZRRI d.o.o.
We called the brand of our Zadar hinterland "Search for the fifth element" because it brings together the elements of fertile land, air, barrel, water and sea and fire on which delicious dishes are prepared, so when we combine these elements - the visitor gets a new, fifth element - and that is an experience that becomes a memory. ", Said the director of the ZADRA NOVA Agency Marina Dujmović Vuković and added that" In the first half of this year we asked for economic entities from the hinterland to participate in the preparation of pilot activities for the development of the Zadar hinterland. " We have been contacted by 18 business entities, and we will soon present a new IT tool on which their offer will be available. "
The project was presented in more detail by Sanja Jerak, project manager at the ZADRA NOVA Agency and Raffaella Triponsi from the Italian Marche Region, who is the leading partner in the project. The further activities of the project aimed at strengthening the environment for tourism development of the hinterland through the use of a web platform for the promotion of a new tourism product "Search for the fifth element" were presented.
ZADRA NOVA Agency is a partner in the MADE IN-LAND project, which brings together a total of nine partners from the Adriatic regions of Croatia and Italy, and its main goal is to protect and valorize the untapped natural and cultural potentials of the continental parts of the partner regions. Project activities include local communities in the hinterland and coast in cooperation with which the territorial brand will be developed, and through joint marketing plans and IT tools, tangible and intangible cultural and natural heritage will be promoted. The project with a total value of EUR 2,218,069.31 is being implemented from 1 January 2019 to 30 June 2022 within the Interreg Italy-Croatia Cross-border Cooperation Program 2014-2020.
