DIGIT2COAST: Technical deliverables for cross-border data accessibility
28/10/2026
Within the framework of the DIGIT2COAST project, which reinforces the principle that territorial accessibility relies fundamental on accessible and interoperable information, we announce the official publication of the technical deliverables forming the backbone of the Care & Go Toolkit.
The first document, designated as Deliverable 1.2.1 and titled "Care & Go Data Scheme and Initial Cross-border Dataset," establishes a validated open-data schema in CSV and GeoJSON formats. This standardized model has been applied to real data collected across at least six pilot municipalities, published on the uMap platform and an open-data portal, and complemented by API examples designed for third-party reuse.
To support the technical architecture, Deliverable 1.3.1 ("Data Collaboration Protocol and Shared Open-Data Scheme") provides the comprehensive operational framework required for managing, updating, and sharing data. This package includes full user documentation, a standardized uMap visualization template, and practical examples of data reuse.
Finally, Deliverable 1.3.2 ("Cross-Border Data Management Protocol") defines the overall governance system by outlining operational roles, update frequencies, validation procedures, and version control mechanisms, thereby ensuring the long-term reliability and accuracy of the dataset.
Together, these deliverables represent Solution 1 (Care & Go Data Scheme) and Solution 2 (Data Management Protocol) of the DIGIT2COAST project, offering a structured response to the data fragmentation and governance barriers previously identified in Activity 1.1.
