Are you involved in an ongoing Interreg project working on sustainable tourism and looking to exchange practical knowledge, learn from other projects and build new cooperation opportunities across the Mediterranean? Discover the Mediterranean Peer Learning Visits (MPLVs), a joint initiative under the Mediterranean Multiprogramme Mechanism (MMM), and find out how your project can benefit from taking part.
Two upcoming events to explore the initiative
- Info Day – 21 October 2026 | Online | 10:00–12:00 CET
The Info Day will introduce the MPLVs, explain how the initiative works and provide guidance on participation and the application process. Register for the Info Day.
- Matchmaking Event – 5 November 2026
The Matchmaking Event will give interested projects the opportunity to connect, identify shared interests and explore potential peer-learning exchanges. It will be an important step towards finding suitable partners, matching project needs with relevant experience and developing ideas for future visits.
More information will be published after the Info Day.
Why take part in the Mediterranean Peer Learning Visits?
Peer exchange turns individual project experience into shared knowledge. Through peer-to-peer learning visits, beneficiaries from the ten Interreg programmes participating in the MMM will have the opportunity to:
- learn how other organisations address similar challenges;
- discover tried-and-tested solutions;
- identify opportunities for improvement;
- bring new ideas back to their territories.
Participation follows a Giver & Taker approach. As a Giver, a project can host peers at its pilot site or premises, showcasing successful practices, innovative approaches and lessons learnt. As a Taker, project representatives can visit another project's site to see its solutions in action, understand how they work in practice and identify approaches that could be adapted to their local context.
By sharing knowledge and learning from one another, projects can increase the visibility of their results, strengthen transnational networks and lay the foundations for future cooperation, including potential initiatives beyond 2027.
