SEAS launches its Call for SMEs and start-ups in the blue economy

On Wednesday, 7 October 2026, from 12:00 to 16:30, the opening conference of SEAS – Sustainable Enterprises Advancing blue Solutions, one of our Operations of Strategic Importance, will take place at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Mestre, Venice (Via Ca’ Marcello 6).
The event will present the SEAS Call, which will provide over €2 million in funding for Italian and Croatian SMEs and start-ups. The funding will support collaborative cross-border projects focused on the development, testing and market introduction of innovative products and services in the blue economy.
The SEAS Call for Entrepreneurs is scheduled to open on 8 October 2026, immediately following the project’s opening conference.
The conference will also provide an opportunity to strengthen networking between stakeholders from the two countries. B2B meetings between Italian and Croatian entrepreneurs will facilitate contacts between potential partners and support the development of future cross-border cooperation projects.
Following the opening conference, SEAS will bring the funding opportunity closer to potential applicants through a series of information workshops.
In Croatia, three workshops are planned in the Croatian part of the Programme area:
- Pula – 13 October 2026
- Zadar – 27 October 2026
- Split – 4 November 2026
Further information workshops will be organised in Italy between October and November 2026.
