Discover Fulfinum-Mirine through the New Promotional Video

How can digital innovation transform the way we experience archaeological heritage? The new ARCHAEODIGIT promotional video offers a glimpse into the answer, showcasing the Joint Pilot Action implemented at the archaeological site of Fulfinum-Mirine, in the Municipality of Omišalj, Croatia.
Located on the island of Krk, the archaeological site of Fulfinum-Mirine preserves the remains of an ancient Roman settlement and an early Christian basilica. Through the ARCHAEODIGIT project, new digital and “phygital” solutions are being introduced to offer visitors more engaging and interactive ways to discover the site's archaeological heritage.
The video showcases how these innovative tools can help visitors explore the archaeological site and better understand the artefacts and structures preserved there. By digitally reconnecting artefacts with their original archaeological contexts, the pilot action creates a stronger link between the remains on site, museum collections and the stories behind them.

The Fulfinum-Mirine pilot action demonstrates how digital technologies can contribute to making archaeological heritage more accessible, interactive and engaging, extending the visitor experience beyond a traditional on-site visit.
By connecting archaeological research and museum collections with new digital experiences, ARCHAEODIGIT aims to create innovative ways for different audiences to engage with the past, while supporting more inclusive and sustainable approaches to cultural tourism across the Adriatic region.
The experience developed at Fulfinum-Mirine is part of a wider effort within ARCHAEODIGIT to explore how digital innovation, capacity building and new management strategies can contribute to the protection, interpretation and valorisation of archaeological heritage.
