New Mediterranean Peer Learning Visits open the door to cross-programme exchange on sustainable tourism

28/07/2026

As part of the  Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism (MMM)  we are pleased to announce that, further to the Coordinated Call, it also launched another joint initiative: the Mediterranean Peer Learning Visits (MPLVs) for Sustainable Tourism.

This initiative offers a unique opportunity for projects funded under different Interreg programmes to collaborate beyond their traditional geographical boundaries. Through physical, on-site visits, partners who would not normally have the chance to interact can build new networks, develop synergies, and exchange valuable knowledge, tools, and best practices in sustainable tourism.

How It Works

MPLVs are designed as learning opportunities built on a “Giver and Taker” logic:

  • Givers: the project hosting the visit at its pilot site or premises to showcase its proven practices, methodologies, and governance models.
  • Takers: partners from projects funded by different Interreg programmes than the one of the Giver who visit to learn from the host's solutions and experience.

Who Can Participate?

Participation is open to Lead Partners and Project Partners of ongoing sustainable tourism projects funded by any of the programmes participating in the MMM.
