On 16 June 2026, the presentation event of the Coordinated Call of the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism (MMM) took place online, drawing over 600 participants from across the Mediterranean cooperation area.
The session offered a comprehensive overview of this new instrument, designed to strengthen coordination among Interreg programmes in the Mediterranean and to turn the results of cooperation into concrete, shared impact.
The event - moderated by Rosario Sapienza, TESIM Senior Expert - began with a welcome by Olivier Baudelet from European Commission (DG REGIO) and an introduction to the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism by Silvia Comiati, Managing Authority of Interreg Italy-Croatia, who set the scene for the work that brings several programmes together under a common, coordinated approach.
The floor then moved to Curzio Cervelli, JS Coordinator of Interreg Euro-MED, who presented the Coordinated Call for Proposals of the MMM, illustrating its rationale and the opportunities it opens up for projects across the area.
The programme continued with Martin Heibel, Communications Manager of Interreg NEXT MED, who made a focus on the Mediterranean Peer Learning Visits (MPLV).
The event closed with final remarks by Tamara Pavlin, from European Commission (DG REGIO).
All the materials presented during the event are now available.
Whether you took part or would like to catch up, you can watch the event recording.
