BIOPRESSADRIA | Kick-off Meeting, Monfalcone

The project BIOPRESSADRIA (Cross-border integrated strategy to reduce biodiversity loss due to anthropogenic pressures along Adriatic coast) aims to address the degradation of coastal biodiversity, particularly marine seagrass meadows, caused by tourism pressures.

The project seeks to develop a cross-border strategy to mitigate these impacts, involving rapid site assessment, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and awareness-raising. By implementing concrete local protective actions and building a toolbox of common Adriatic solutions, BIOPRESSADRIA aims to establish a scalable coastal protection strategy that addresses the unique challenges faced at sea level.

BIOPRESSADRIA Kick-off meeting, along with the 1st Steering Committee (SC) meeting,  took place in Monfalcone on the 11th and 12th of April 2024.
