Final Cross-Border Event: Blue Economy in Different Dimensions
On 1 October 2026, Šibenik will host the final cross-border event of the BEST4.0 project, dedicated to what the Blue Economy needs in order to turn project results into lasting opportunities for businesses, skills and coastal communities.
The event will take place at AZIMUT, Obala palih omladinaca 2, from 09:00 to 13:00, with registration from 08:30 and a networking lunch to follow.
Participants will hear how BEST4.0 supported Blue Economy SMEs in their digital transformation towards Industry 4.0 and how the Cross-Border Digital Innovation Hub network will continue to serve them after the project ends. The BEST4.0 Industry 4.0 Services Catalogue will be presented together with the services offered by each project partner, so that entrepreneurs can see where to turn for support in the future. The programme also features the Interreg Italy-Croatia Programme, the SeaTecHub project and the CoE MARBLE Centre of Excellence in Maritime Robotics.
A panel discussion, "From Projects to Lasting Impact: What Does the Future Blue Economy Need?", will bring together business, science and local community perspectives. It will address SME needs, skills and knowledge transfer, quality year-round jobs, opportunities for young people and the digital and green transition.
