STRENGTH Project Final Event

We are pleased to invite partners, stakeholders, and the public to the Final Event of the STRENGTH Project: over two intensive days, the project consortium will present key findings, tools, and methodologies developed to enhance territorial resilience against natural risks related to climate change.  

Programme Highlights
 

Day 1: Monday, 28 September 2026 – Ravenna & Codigoro  
Morning Session | Risk Communication, Awareness-Raising, and Public Engagement  
Venue: Sala Martini, MAR – Museo d'Arte della Città di Ravenna
The opening day focuses on the human and social dimensions of disaster risk management. Key sessions cover sociological research for effective risk communication, youth engagement initiatives, cross-border experiences from the City of Kaštela, and innovative storytelling and gaming approaches to climate risk awareness. 

Afternoon Technical Visit: Codigoro Pumping Station
Participants will take part in an on-site visit to the historic and strategic Codigoro Pumping Station, organized in cooperation with the Ferrara Plain Reclamation Consortium, offering first-hand insight into water management infrastructure.  

Social Dinner | Ferrara
The day will conclude with a social dinner at Trattoria "Il Sorpasso" in Ferrara.  

Day 2: Tuesday, 29 September 2026 – Ferrara 
Technical Sessions & Closing Conference
Venue: Palazzo Naselli Crispi, Ferrara
The second day brings together technical and scientific experts to showcase the concrete outputs and tools developed within STRENGTH:  
Session 1: Digital Monitoring & Early Warning Systems
Showcasing tools for structural damage detection, local early warning systems, and seismic/hydraulic vulnerability monitoring using advanced geophysical measures.  

Session 2: Hazard Assessment Strategies
Examining building fragility curves under climate hazards, coastal and flash flood modeling, and the impacts of saltwater intrusion and desertification on coastal urban ecosystems.  

Session 3: Communication & Capitalisation
Overview of STRENGTH’s communication activities, audience-targeted research, and final closing remarks.  

Gain insights into cutting-edge digital monitoring and hazard-modelling tools developed across Italy and Croatia.  Learn actionable strategies for communicating climate risks to diverse audiences, from students to local administrations.  Connect with researchers, local authorities, water management consortia, and cross-border project partners.
