The DIGIT2COAST (ITHR0701018) project is officially stepping onto the operational stage as its launch is marked by the upcoming Kick-off Meeting that will be held online on February 4, 2026, serving as the critical catalyst to set this cross-border strategic initiative into motion.

Operating under Interreg Program Priority 5.1 for integrated governance, the project faces the ambitious challenge of dismantling persistent administrative, technical, and spatial barriers that currently restrict seasonal, mobile, and vulnerable populations from seamlessly accessing vital health, social care, and mobility services across the Italian and Croatian coastal corridors. Achieving these complex goals within a tightly focused 14-month timeframe relies entirely on the strength and synergy of cross-border cooperation.

Because no single institution or region can solve non-interoperable data structures or fragmented public administration in isolation, true collaboration between Lead Partner RIT Croatia in Dubrovnik and Project Partner ECIPA Abruzzo in Pescara - alongside regional authorities, transport operators, and care providers across Marche, Abruzzo, Primorje-Gorski Kotar, and Dubrovnik-Neretva - is the fundamental engine of this entire endeavor.

The Kick-off Meeting stands as the essential milestone where this joint commitment is solidified, bringing both partners together to align methodologies, harmonize communication, and establish the collaborative momentum needed to co-design shared open-data standards, deploy joint toolkits, and secure binding multi-lateral agreements that will permanently alleviate cross-border obstacles for Adriatic communities.
