Training event at CIHEAM Bari on the new Certification Scheme
On 6 July 2026, CIHEAM Bari will host the training event "The GECO 2.2 Project and the New Certification Scheme", dedicated to presenting the innovative certification framework developed within the Interreg Italy–Croatia GECO 2.2 project.
The event will provide participants with an overview of the new certification scheme designed to support the implementation of carbon farming practices and facilitate access to voluntary carbon markets.
Experts from CIHEAM Bari and CREA will present the project's certification framework, the carbon credit calculation system, the digital platform developed by GECO 2.2, and the latest developments regarding the implementation of EU Regulation 2024/3012 on the Carbon Removal and Carbon Farming Certification Framework.
The initiative is addressed to farmers, agronomists, forestry professionals, certification bodies, technical experts and stakeholders interested in sustainable agriculture and voluntary carbon markets.
