The INTESA Project Transnational Event was held on September 30th within the Conference & Expo “Driving the change in shipping & logistic: the EU funding opportunities in the programming period 2021-2027” organized inside SeaFuture2021, the well-established bi-annual international convention for maritime and dual use technologies in La Spezia Naval Base.

Evangelia Piteni – Development & Technological Innovation Department, European Projects Unit of the Southern Adriatic Sea Ports Authority – presented, within the Conference session “Supply Chain Digitalisation and Safety & Security in Transport Industry” held in the beautiful Italian Navy Ship Luigi Rizzo, the overall aims of the INTESA project, focusing on the Pilot Action implemented in Southern Adriatic Sea Ports Authority.

With her speech titled “Study and analysis of a new tide gauge network for Southern Adriatic Sea Port Authority - INTESA Project”, she deepened the innovation for the intangible infrastructures delivered in the multiport system of Bari, Brindisi, Manfredonia, Barletta and Monopoli with the installation of 5 Tide gauges equipped with software and the subsequent connection and integration with the current GAIA Community Port System or Vega System. Furthermore, an overview on the overall project aims was presented, concerning specifically the harmonization and optimization of the procedures of the complete maritime transport process among Italian and Croatian National Maritime Administration in order to make port and maritime transport system more efficient and safer.
