ICARUS joined forces with two other projects funded under Interreg CBC Italy-Croatia Programme - MIMOSA and E-CHAIN to present the latest achievements in the field of sustainable mobility in the crossborder area between Italy and Croatia. Almost 60 participants attended the online event during which the speakers spoke about innovative pilot actions and solutions to improve intermodal transport among the two countries.
E-CHAIN project illustrated info-mobility services provided by Jadrolinija, croatian biggest company for passenger and freight maritime transport and by prosoft. On the other hand MIMOSA project provided recommendations and proposed solutions adopted in the transport sector to cope with the COVID-19 restrictions and prevention measures as resulted from the analysis performed by Ca Foscari univerisity. Three MIMOSA partners shared their achievements thanks to the implementation of their pilot actions in the Dubrovnik Neretva Region, real time information system in the port of Ancona and cooperative e-bike rental scheme in Emilia Romagna Region.
ICARUS provided an overview of its main activities and illustrated the results of the pilots performed in the Istria region (bik&train intermodality to connect coast and hinterland), the travel planner app (Happy Travel) available for download to plan journeys between Abruzzo and Croatia and the follow up of the bike tour performed by the Venice International University, cycling from Venice to Porec and testing several intermodal services.
