GUSTI promotional brochures support the visibility of the Neretva Valley tourism offer
20/05/2026
As part of the EU Open Days 2026, a meeting dedicated to further strengthening the tourism promotion of the Neretva Valley was held at the Municipality of Slivno. Organised by the Regional Agency DUNEA, the meeting brought together directors of tourist boards from the Neretva Valley area, who were presented with reprints of promotional brochures produced within the GUSTI project.
The brochures are intended to present the natural, cultural, eno-gastronomic and tourism specificities of the Neretva Valley in a clearer and more accessible way. As one of the distinctive areas of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, the Neretva Valley offers authentic experiences, local traditions and a rich tourism offer, which the brochures help bring closer to visitors.
The GUSTI – Gastro UpScaled Tourist Itinerary in rural regions of Croatia and Italy project is implemented within the Interreg Italy–Croatia 2021–2027 Cross-Border Cooperation Programme, with the aim of valorising and promoting sustainable gastro-tourism as part of the intangible cultural heritage of rural areas in Croatia and Italy. The project contributes to the development of a higher-quality, more attractive and more sustainable tourism offer, while encouraging the diversification of tourism flows.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and emphasise the importance of cooperation between tourist boards, development institutions and local stakeholders. Through a joint approach, the partners continue to build a stronger and more coordinated promotion of the destination, benefiting both the tourism sector and the local community.
