24/10/2025

Promoting the intangible cultural heritage and sustainable food and wine tourism of the "Terre di Fasano" through promotional activities and identity storytelling. This is the goal of the GUSTI – Gastro UpScaled Tourist Itinerary in Rural Regions of Croatia and Italy project, funded by the Interreg Italy – Croatia 2021–2027 Programme and promoted by Puglia Culture in collaboration with the Municipality of Fasano.

After an initial phase of work, the project's Pilot Action, called GUSTI Tales: Celebrating Sustainable Heritage through Art and Culture, has begun. Its aim is to connect the natural, cultural, and gastronomic heritage of the Fasano area, enhancing the role of the cultural and creative sector as a driver of sustainable development.

A double event was organized for this phase: the workshop "Telling Puglia – Territorial Storytelling as an Act of Identity," led by Nick Difino at the Salvemini Institute in Fasano, dedicated to the storytelling of the territory as a tool for promoting and enhancing local identity.

Following the event, the "Ignazio Ciaia" Community Library in Fasano hosted a preview screening of the video storytelling "Mezzogiorno e Dintorni - Speciale GUSTI” produced as part of the project. A journey through the colors, flavors, history, and beauty of the Fasano area, with the participation of local businesses, professionals, and cultural organizations.

"Mezzogiorno e Dintorni - Speciale GUSTI” will be released on Sunday, October 26, at 2:50 PM on Telenorba and on YouTube from 3:00 PM, with versions in English and Croatian.
