Announcement of the culinary workshop "Sweet Heritage of Pelješac" in Ston
The Regional Development Agency of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County - DUNEA, as part of the GUSTI project - Gastro UpScaled Tourist Itinerary in Rural Areas of Croatia and Italy, invites you to the culinary workshop "Sweet Heritage of Pelješac", which will be held as part of the Blue Crab Festival, organized by the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Nature Areas of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Veliki Kaštio fortress in Ston, starting at 5:00 PM.
At the workshop, you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the traditional Pelješac dessert, mackerel cake, and learn how this unique recipe is passed down from generation to generation. The goal of the workshop is to preserve and promote the rich gastronomic heritage of Pelješac, but also to connect participants with the authentic flavors and stories of this region. In addition to the practical and tasting part, you can expect a performance by the a capella group Kaše from 7:00 PM.
The workshop is open to all interested parties, participation is free, and the number of places is limited.
