New Opportunities for Agriculture and Carbon Credits

On October 6, the meeting 'New Opportunities for Farms and Businesses from Voluntary Carbon Credit Markets in Agriculture' was held in Bologna at the Legacoop Emilia-Romagna headquarters, organized by Legacoop Romagna and Emilia-Romagna.
The event presented the European project GECO 2.2, funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia program. Its goal is to support farms in transitioning to more sustainable practices, facilitating the generation and valorization of carbon credits to develop a reliable regional voluntary market.
Following greetings from Emiliano Galanti and Barbara Lepri of Legacoop, the morning featured interventions by experts such as Leonardo Marotta, Vincenzo Verrastro, Ruggiero Sardaro, and Alessandra Pesce (CREA). The session concluded with a speech by Alessio Mammi, the Regional Councillor for Agriculture of Emilia-Romagna.
