The Days of the Blue Economy have covered "blue" topics such as shipping and shipbuilding, security of the fishing industry, coastal territorial development, sustainability, and smart port cities. The conference brought together international guests and experts, who exchanged experiences in the context of the blue economy. During the conference, the Municipality of Ancona and Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico Andrea Galvani SCPA organized seminars within the ECOMAP project: "Blue Growth Education and Training-Examples of best practices and the circular economy" and "Experiences and best practices". The workshops were organized to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, skills, and good practices for social, economic, and local growth, especially for the benefit of small ports and various related professions; on the one hand, with maritime tradition; on the other hand, with a sustainable approach to using and knowing natural "blue" resources.

On May 20, 2022, the ECOMAP project partners solemnly signed the "Memorandum of Understanding to support the short-term implementation of the Stakeholder Cluster of those Italian and Croatian Smart Coastal and Port Cities, interested in the themes of Blue Growth, environmental protection, and sustainable development of coastal areas". The Memorandum will contribute to the goal of creating a platform for exchanging experiences and gaining new information on sustainable development, and creating a new environmental strategy based on the blue economy and blue growth.

During the conference, the representative of the Municipality of Podstrana, Ms. Andrijana Dedić, presented the ECOMAP project to all interested visitors and representatives of the Italian media.
