The first local conference of the COASTENERGY project in the Marche region was successfully carried out by UNICAM on 11 February 2020, at its premises in San Benedetto del Tronto. The event – preceded by a press conference that took place at the seat of the Municipality of San Benedetto del Tronto – involved around 40 participants, including speakers from local and regional public bodies, research institutions, enterprises and entrepreneurial associations, and the civil society. Presentations and discussion focused on some key issues of blue energy development in the region, such as applicable technologies, permitting procedures, financing and entrepreneurship opportunities, and potential environmental impacts.
