Second Partner Meeting of the "Brand New Adriatic - BNA: European Management Skills for New Users" Project
The second partner meeting of the "Brand New Adriatic - BNA: European Management Skills for New Users" project was held on December 3, 2024, in Pula, Croatia. This initiative aims to enhance the skills of local authorities, public institutions, associations, and businesses in cross-border cooperation, with a particular focus on rural areas and small municipalities in the partner regions of Croatia and Italy (Istria, Primorska-Gorski Kotar County, Molise, and Abruzzo).
Objectives and Activities of the Project
The project focuses on organizing training and networking activities designed to provide rural communities with tools to overcome administrative, communication, and informational barriers. These programs aim to expand opportunities for participation in European cross-border projects, contributing to local and regional development.
Implemented through a collaboration between the VISOKI JABLANI Rehabilitation and Education Association from Rijeka and the Adriatic EU Center from Poreč (Croatia), in partnership with TREND Management and Training from Campobasso and the Municipality of Spoltore (Italy), the project is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg Italy-Croatia Program.
Participation and Key Moments of the Meeting
The second partner meeting was attended by representatives of the partners, including Mihaela Jović Karešin, President of the VISOKI JABLANI Association, and Alberto Bartoli, Councillor of the Municipality of Spoltore, along with representatives of civil society, local authorities, and entrepreneurs, both in person and online via Zoom.
The meeting served as a pivotal moment to summarize and celebrate the results achieved, with two main events highlighting the project's success and its future sustainability:
- Certificate Award Ceremony
More than twenty-five participants successfully completed the training program, acquiring skills in European design, project management, and networking. This milestone represents a significant step forward in their professional development and the promotion of local initiatives. - Presentation of the Action Plan and Memorandum of Understanding
These strategic documents, to be signed in Spoltore on December 12 during the final conference, formalize the creation of the BNA network. The BNA cluster was introduced as a key tool for promoting cooperation, networking, and sustainable growth in the Adriatic area.
A Platform for the Future
The cooperation platform initiated by the BNA project serves as an essential reference for local communities and organizations in Italy and Croatia. By facilitating access to resources, knowledge, and partnerships, it lays the groundwork for sustainable and long-term collaboration.
The BNA project demonstrates how, through targeted approaches and suitable training paths, even small centers and rural communities can become significant players on the European stage.
