Published on 03/03/2019 (last modified 02/06/2020)

38 Croatian and Italian students ready to begin an outstanding experience abroad

With the first students from Italian and Croatian accredited schools beginning the mobility programme, and all the others following across the next weeks and up until summer, the partnership is about to see the fruit of its efforts.

What these very lucky students are about to undertake is a life-changing experience that will have a positive impact on their future career prospects and accomplishments. All the knowledgeskills and competences that they will acquire in the next 45 days of exchange will be embedded in their personal CVs and certified as well, by means of ECVET credits and a traineeship certificate issued by the receiving school and enterprise.

Together with visiting partner schools, BLUE KEP students will get involved in up to 5 days of practice in nautical and maritime local companies. Through the BLUE KEP apprenticeship programmes, students a valuable hands-on experience in the vocational sectors where they will most likely build their careers.

During the mobility, the hosting school will offer an international training module that was developed ad hoc based on the preparatory work done in cooperation with project partners, experts and the partner school.

The aim of developing and commonly approving such modules was two-fold: on the one hand, new EU skills and competences were created transnationally, meaning that they bring about the added value of cooperation, and, on the other, by entailing an evaluation and recognition procedure, the modules constitute a tested framework for future and further cooperation.
