A 2-day Training course in Dubrovnik

Following the successful training activities carried out between November 2025 and February 2026 in Porto Cesareo and Monfalcone—focused on monitoring, governance, and participatory coastal management—the BIOPRESSADRIA project now enters its next phase on the Croatian side of the Adriatic.

The first of three planned trainings will take place in Dubrovnik on April 9–10, 2026, followed by additional sessions in Split (May) and Murter (June).
This two-day course is designed for stakeholders involved in maritime tourism and for anchorage concessionaires seeking to enhance their approach to the planning, design, implementation, and management of nautical anchorages.

Participants will gain practical knowledge on:
• Environmentally friendly anchoring systems
• Protection of sensitive marine habitats, particularly Posidonia meadows
Technical and design solutions adapted to different seabed conditions
• Management, economic sustainability, and long-term planning strategies

The program combines expert-led sessions, case studies from Croatia and beyond, and opportunities for peer exchange—supporting the transition from scientific knowledge to effective coastal governance.

The BIOPRESSADRIA training programmes share the same strategic objective: protecting marine and coastal habitats from anthropogenic pressures through innovative monitoring tools, marine spatial planning approaches and strengthened participatory governance.
By investing in knowledge, skills, and collaboration, BIOPRESSADRIA is seeking to build a more resilient and sustainable management of the Adriatic Sea.
