Joint Testing Event & Living Lab of the BIOBASED project at the DAFNE Department of the University of Foggia
On 9th and 10th April 2026, two key events of the project BIOBASED – Development support of blue biorefinery in the Adriatic Sea will take place at the Department of Agriculture, Food, Natural Resources and Engineering (DAFNE) of the University of Foggia. The project is funded by the Interreg Italy–Croatia 2021/2027 Programme, and the University of Foggia acts as Lead Partner.
The initiative represents an important opportunity for discussion and knowledge exchange on project results, with a specific focus on the development of innovative solutions in the field of the blue bioeconomy and the sustainability of aquaculture systems in the Adriatic area.
The two-day event will include presentations, technical and scientific discussions, and field-based activities, involving researchers, sector experts, stakeholders, and operators.

Participation in the events is free of charge, subject to prior registration through the following form by 5 April 2026:

Please note that, due to organizational and logistical constraints, particularly related to the limited capacity of the boat foreseen for the Living Lab activities, submitting the registration form represents only an expression of interest and does not guarantee automatic confirmation of participation.
Participation will be confirmed at a later stage via an official communication sent from the BIOBASED project email address (biobased.interreg@unifg.it).
On 9 April, activities will take place at the DAFNE Department, Via Napoli 25, Foggia.
On 10 April, the meeting point will again be at the DAFNE Department, from where participants will be transferred to the pilot site located in Capoiale (Cagnano Varano), where the Living Lab activities will be carried out.
Participation is open to students, researchers, sector operators, and all those interested in sustainability and innovation in the aquaculture sector.
