SAVE THE DATE: 3rd Networking Event in Pordenone to explore market opportunities for the blue bioeconomy
The 3rd Networking Event of the BIOBASED project will take place on 19 February 2026 in Pordenone, Italy, as part of the AQUAFARM fair — one of the most important European events dedicated to aquaculture and sustainable food production.
Under the title “Market Opportunities and Regulatory Pathways for Blue Bioeconomy Products”, the event will bring together researchers, industry experts, and stakeholders to discuss market dynamics, policy frameworks, and innovative uses for algae and aquaculture by-products
Highlights of the agenda include:
- An overview of the BIOBASED project and latest updates from pilot sites
- Insights into EU and national regulations on blue biotechnologies
- Discussion on market maturity and barriers for shellfish and macroalgae cultivation in the Mediterranean
