Welcome to the Library section of the BEYOND project

The Library section serves as a central hub for accessing knowledge, project results, and tools developed through three key work packages dedicated to the sustainable development of the blue economy and the offshore wind sector in the Adriatic region. It brings together research findings, pilot solutions, analyses, and knowledge-transfer activities aimed at strengthening cooperation between businesses, research institutions, public authorities, and local communities.

WP1 – Adriatic blue economy sectors in business-as-usual surrounding
WP2 – Solutions for sustainable and synergetic blue economy projects
WP3 – Results capitalization and transferring

Adriatic blue economy sectors in business-as-usual surrounding

Adriatic blue economy sectors in business-as-usual surrounding

Adriatic blue economy sectors in business-as-usual surrounding focuses on establishing a knowledge base on the natural, technical, and legislative conditions for offshore wind energy development in four pilot regions, as well as the current state and future potential of blue economy sectors.

Within this work package, Output 1.1 – Blue economy potential analysis in the “Business as usual” model presents joint research on the combined potential of offshore wind production, fisheries, and aquaculture sectors in the pilot regions. The analysis includes economic forecasting, statistical modelling, and assessment of potential offshore wind energy outputs.

- Pilot regions physical natural conditions analysis of deliverable

- Pilot regions physical natural conditions analysis of deliverable

The document analyzes the physical and natural conditions of Adriatic pilot regions identified as potential locations for offshore wind farms. It examines key factors such as wind speed, water depth, seabed characteristics, sea currents, waves, temperatures, and other environmental conditions that influence the feasibility and safe installation of offshore wind turbines. The analysis supports the assessment of suitable locations for sustainable offshore wind energy development in the Adriatic Sea.

Solutions for sustainable and synergetic blue economy projects

Solutions for sustainable and synergetic blue economy projects

Solutions for sustainable and synergetic blue economy projects develops pilot solutions through cross-border knowledge exchange and stakeholder cooperation, promoting offshore wind as a driver of environmental protection, sustainable development, and synergy between marine ecosystems and blue economy sectors.

Within WP2, Output 2.1 – Integrated Digital Guidelines for sustainable OWF planning provides detailed proposals, recommendations, and analytical data for the future development of the offshore wind sector in the Adriatic region. The output promotes sustainable planning approaches that strengthen connections between offshore wind development, the environment, and other blue economy sectors. Developed as a joint solution tested through four pilot actions, the output combines descriptive content, analytical data, and interactive digital media in a comprehensive digital document.

Results capitalization and transferring

Results capitalization and transferring

Results capitalization and transferring supports the transfer and long-term use of project results, contributing to the future development of a sustainable, inclusive, and cooperative offshore wind sector in the Adriatic region.

As part of WP3, Output 3.1 – Integrated cross-border educational and career advancement programme establishes a structured exchange programme between Italy and Croatia involving 40 students and researchers from engineering and environmental science disciplines. The programme combines education, practical exchange, and career development opportunities to support skills development and employment within the blue economy and offshore wind technology sectors.
