Cycling Associations and Regional Stakeholders Involved in Climate Adaptation Discussion at San Bartolo Regional Park
18/05/2026
On 18 May 2026, the San Bartolo Regional Park Authority organised a meeting with cycling associations and regional stakeholders as part of the stakeholder engagement activities of the Interreg Italy–Croatia bePrepARed project.
The meeting brought together representatives of cycling associations, technical experts and project representatives to discuss the impacts of climate change on local environments and the actions being developed within the bePrepARed project.
Participants were presented with an overview of the project's objectives, the cross-border Strategy for Climate Adaptation and the Local Nature-based Solutions (NbS) Action Plans being developed by the project partners. Particular attention was dedicated to the pilot intervention planned within the San Bartolo Park area, including the consolidation works foreseen on Trail No. 151 through bePrepARed funding.
The meeting also addressed the use of bicycles within the Park, discussing which trails are accessible to cyclists, where restrictions apply and the reasons behind these regulations.
The event provided an opportunity for dialogue between the San Bartolo Regional Park Authority, regional stakeholders, technical experts and cycling associations, contributing to a shared understanding of climate-related challenges affecting the territory and of the actions being implemented through the bePrepARed project.
The activity forms part of the project's broader effort to engage stakeholders in climate adaptation processes and promote awareness of environmental challenges and resilience-building measures across the Adriatic area.
