5th Project and Steering Committee Meeting held in Bari, Italy
On 28–29 January 2026, project partners gathered in Bari, Italy, for the 5th Project and Steering Committee Meeting of bePrepARed, held under the theme: “Towards the implementation of NBS to tackle climate change and capacity building and sensitization/education activities.”
The meeting took place at Regione Puglia (Bari) and focused on coordination across core implementation streams.
Key points included:

Action Plans and cross-border strategy, including presentation and discussion of the final version of the Action Plans for general strategy implementation

Pilot actions implementation, reviewing the state of play in planning and implementation of pilot activities for targeted man-made ecosystems and communities and non-material NBS solutions aimed at improving site ecological management

Capacity building and education, covering the planning of capacity building paths for institutional local stakeholders and education/sensitization actions on climate adaptation solutions

Long-term technical management, including preliminary discussion on the final cross-border mainstreaming event and planning of upcoming management meetings.
Also, on the second day, participants joined an on-field study visit to the archaeological site of Egnazia (ASSET pilot action location), guided by the Director of the Museum and Archaeological Park.
