The Public Institution for the Management of Protected Natural Areas of Dubrovnik-Neretva County (PI DNC) manages some of Croatia’s most valuable natural sites, including the Neretva River Delta, Natura 2000 areas, and a Ramsar wetland.
Within bePrepARed, PI DNC is responsible for:

Protecting the Neretva Delta from saltwater intrusion and climate-related risks

Controlling invasive species to safeguard biodiversity

Conducting riverbed clean-ups to strengthen ecosystem resilience

Educating local communities on adaptation and conservation practices
PI DNC ensures that one of the Adriatic’s most vulnerable ecosystems is preserved and prepared for future challenges.
