The participants of the workshop were EUSAIR Pillar Coordinators for TSG 3/1 and TSG 3/1 members, EUSAIR Facility Point representatives, other MRS coordinators, Commission representative(s), experts, representatives from the sectors/Ministries, interested public, potential projects beneficiaries/partners, Interact. Our partner’s representative dr Anamarija Krilić (applied chemistry specialist at Izvor Ploče ltd.) participated in the international event and followed the discussion at the end of the workshop that aimed to find a common agreement on where the transboundary MPA’s and river basin protected area could be established and how can EUSAIR support the process.
The participants concluded that it is essential to accelerate the ecosystem services into all development planning projects. There are good examples on national level but they need to be strengthened and integrated on the cross border level and linked to the blue and green coordinators in terms of project planning and development. The implementation of blue and green corridors in RBMP/SME/ ICZM process is a very concrete measure to increase water, food, energy and climate security of cross-border and regional level.
