Pilot action in Novigrad
From 18 to 21 April, Novigrad will host 14 participants from the twin town of Sacile, Italy, for a carefully designed inclusive holiday experience at the Laguna Hotel.
This pilot action will bring together individuals with cognitive impairments and their caregivers, creating a supportive environment with multiple benefits. Participants will engage in creative, sensory and social activities, while caregivers will have time to rest, connect with one another and share their experiences. Throughout the programme, professional support will ensure safety, comfort and personalised care.
Over four days, the programme will combine relaxation, creativity and cultural exploration. Planned activities include art and sensory workshops, music and social evenings, a guided tour of Novigrad’s historic centre, a reading session with creative elements, and a final presentation involving international and local stakeholders.
This initiative aims to highlight the importance of inclusive tourism and to address the needs of families affected by dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, a segment that requires greater attention and tailored support.
