Promoting inclusiveness: training course for tourism and socio-health/social care operators in Brindisi

The Municipality of Brindisi will host a two-day training course for tourism and socio-health/social care operators on February 18 and 23, 2026, as part of the ADRINCLUSIVE project. The course will focus on raising awareness and understanding of dementia while developing practical skills for communication, interaction, and managing complex situations in tourism and care settings.

Through four modules - covering dementia awareness, caring fundamentals and interaction strategies, becoming ambassadors for inclusive attitudes, and cognitive stimulation and psychosocial interventions, participants will take part in role-plays, case studies, practical exercises, and discussions of best practices.

The initiative aims to support the creation of safer, more inclusive and “dementia-friendly” tourism environments while strengthening collaboration between the tourism and welfare/health sectors. Stay tuned for more updates!
