Adriatic Sea Forum 2026 in Venice

22/07/2026

On 25–26 June 2026, ADRIJOROUTES participated in the eighth edition of Adriatic Sea Forum – Cruise, Ferry, Sail & Yacht.

Recognised as one of the leading international events dedicated to maritime tourism in the Adriatic, Adriatic Sea Forum brings together institutions, port authorities, tourism stakeholders, researchers and industry representatives to discuss trends, opportunities and future scenarios for the cruise, ferry and nautical sectors.

The 2026 edition, organized by Risposte Turismo in partnership with the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority, one of the ADRIJOROUTES project partners, offered a valuable platform for dialogue and exchange on the future of maritime tourism and the development of sustainable and competitive destinations across the Adriatic region.

Through its participation as a visitor, ADRIJOROUTES had the opportunity to follow discussions addressing some of the most relevant topics for the future of the macro-region, including maritime tourism growth trends, infrastructure investments, sustainable development approaches and stronger integration between coastal destinations and their hinterlands.

Particular attention was given to the latest edition of the Adriatic Sea Tourism Report, which highlighted positive projections for the maritime tourism sector across the Adriatic area, confirming continued growth in cruise and ferry traffic, and significant investments planned in tourism-related infrastructure over the coming years.

These reflections resonate with the broader vision of ADRIJOROUTES: promoting cooperation across borders and encouraging more connected, sustainable and integrated tourism experiences in the Adriatic Italian and Croatian areas.

Participation in events such as Adriatic Sea Forum represents an important opportunity for the project to remain connected to emerging trends, strengthen institutional networks and contribute to the wider dialogue on the future of tourism and maritime territories.

ADRIJOROUTES will continue to engage with initiatives and stakeholders working towards a more sustainable and resilient Adriatic region.
