PLACE2GO 2026: Discover Sustainable Adriatic Cultural Tourism

From 20 to 22 March 2026, the ADRIJOROUTES project will participate in the international tourism fair PLACE2GO International Tourism Fair in Zagreb, Croatia, where the partnership will welcome visitors at stand 10.

Recognised as the largest tourism fair in Croatia, the event gathers tourism professionals, destinations, travel companies and institutions from across Europe and beyond. Over the years, it has become an important meeting point for networking, knowledge exchange and the promotion of innovative tourism offers.

The initiative brings together ports, cultural actors and tourism stakeholders from Italy and Croatia to enhance the value of Adriatic heritage and develop new experiences for visitors.

Through the project, partners are working to create a network of cultural routes and digital experiences connecting Adriatic ports such as Ancona, Ravenna, Venice, Trieste, Rijeka, Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik, highlighting their shared maritime history and cultural identity.

At stand 10, visitors will be able to:

  • Learn about the ADRIJOROUTES initiative and its cross-border cooperation activities
  • Discover new cultural itineraries and experiences connecting Adriatic port cities
  • Explore the Adrijo platform, which presents the maritime cultural heritage of Adriatic territories through interactive digital content
  • Meet project partners and discuss opportunities for sustainable tourism development

Participation in PLACE2GO represents an important opportunity to engage with tourism professionals, institutions and travellers interested in discovering new sustainable destinations in the Adriatic region.

We warmly invite all participants of PLACE2GO to visit ADRIJOROUTES at stand 10 and explore how maritime heritage can inspire a more sustainable and inclusive tourism future.
