On 28 January 2026, the 5th Steering Committee Meeting of the ADRIJOROUTES Project took place in Dubrovnik, hosted at Hotel Kompas by the Dubrovnik Port Authority. The meeting gathered all project partners, marking a key milestone at the start of a new year of activities.

Following an intense and productive 2025, the Steering Committee provided an important opportunity to reflect on the progress achieved so far and to coordinate the final implementation steps of the project.

Reviewing progress across all Work Packages

The meeting opened with a welcoming session led by the hosting partner and the Lead Partner, setting the scene for a full agenda focused on strategic alignment and operational coordination.

ADRIJOROUTES Cross-Border Strategy for Resilient Maritime Cultural Destinations, presented by the Central Adriatic Ports Authority, offered an overview of the main achievements to date. Discussions focused on the engagement of the Port Innovation Crews, the results of the “PIC general report”, and the actions to be completed by the end of the project, including the future maintenance of the ADRIJO digital platform beyond project closure.

ADRIJOROUTES: Port Cultural Routes, coordinated by the Intermodal Transport Cluster, highlighted the development of local sets of destinations and experiences, the on-site assessments carried out across partner territories, and the results of the pilot actions. Partners also shared updates on participation in thematic fairs and the planning of upcoming interactive events, reinforcing the project’s visibility and outreach.

Accessible and Social Inclusive ADRIJOROUTES Cultural Offer, introduced by the Port of Ravenna Authority. Each partner presented newly developed digital contents designed to address diverse audiences, including children and users with disabilities, as well as the current state of local Cross-Border Living Museums in terms of investments and services.

Management, communication and next steps

The afternoon sessions focused on project management, including updates on the spending plan, and the main deadlines and requirements for the fourth reporting phase.

Finally, the session on communication and dissemination addressed the performance of social media channels, a review of 2025 events and the outlook for early 2026, updates to the project website’s insights section, and the alignment of target groups and values within the Communication Plan. A dedicated focus was also given to innovation in communication, with a training session on the use of AI tools for project dissemination.

Looking ahead

The 5th Steering Committee Meeting confirmed the strong cooperation among ADRIJOROUTES partners and their shared commitment to promoting resilient, accessible and culturally rich maritime destinations in Italy and Croatia.

As the project moves into its final phase, the outcomes discussed in Dubrovnik will guide the next actions, ensuring long-lasting impact and sustainable results beyond the project’s conclusion.
