Museum Connections Paris 2026: Enhancing Digital Cultural Innovation

16/01/2026

ADRIJOROUTES took part in Museum Connections Paris 2026, an international professional trade fair dedicated to the future of museums, cultural venues and visitor experience. The event was held on 13–14 January 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, bringing together museum professionals, cultural institutions, tourism stakeholders and digital innovation experts from across the world.

Museum Connections represents a key international platform for discussing the role of digital innovation and new technologies in enhancing museum experiences, cultural accessibility and visitor engagement. In this context, ADRIJOROUTES’ participation was fully aligned with the event’s focus on virtual, immersive and remote access solutions for cultural heritage.

During the event, project partners from RERA, PNAEAS and ADSPMAC presented ADRIJO, the project’s virtual museum, designed to support immersive and accessible exploration of Adriatic Italian and Croatian cultural heritage. ADRIJO showcases the 7 ADRIJOROUTES as sustainable cross-border tourism experiences, offering innovative digital alternatives for discovering shared cultural assets and narratives across the Adriatic area.

The fair provided an important opportunity to engage with an international audience of cultural, tourism and digital innovation stakeholders. ADRIJOROUTES attracted interest from representatives from Portugal, Greece, the United States, Great Britain and Australia, confirming the project’s relevance beyond the programme area and its potential contribution to the international digital cultural heritage landscape.

Participation in Museum Connections Paris 2026 contributed to strengthening the visibility of ADRIJOROUTES and reinforcing its positioning as a reference project for the integration of digital tools, cultural heritage enhancement and sustainable cross-border tourism development. The event further supported the project’s objectives of fostering innovation, accessibility and international dialogue within the cultural and tourism sectors.
