A weekend of discovery, technology, and connection at the Port of Ancona

On October 18th and 19th, during the Italian Port Days, we had the pleasure of hosting multimedia guided tours at the Port of Ancona — an initiative by the Central Adriatic Port Authority, supported by the AdrijoRoutes project.
Participants were taken on a journey through Ancona's maritime and cultural heritage, guided by professional tour guides and supported by digital tools from the AdrijoRoutes platform. From Porta Pia to the Old Port, from the Mole Vanvitelliana to the Arch of Trajan, the experience blended physical exploration with interactive, QR-enhanced content.
The event brought together curiosity, innovation, and community. We shared stories, perspectives, and enthusiasm — truly "contaminating" each other with a love for discovery and heritage.
These moments reaffirm the strong connection between the port and the city, and the potential of digital tools in promoting cultural tourism across the Adriatic.
