Adriatic Sea Forum 2024: Insights and Collaborations

29/10/2024

On October 24-25, the Adriatic Sea Forum in Ravenna brought together industry leaders and stakeholders of tourism and maritime transport from across the Adriatic region, and ADRIJOROUTES was part of this event. Several European projects were showcased, highlighting innovative approaches to sustainability in tourism and transport.

The forum highlighted key insights from the Adriatic Sea Tourism Report, which focused on trends and forecasts for 2025 of passenger’s flows in the Adriatic Sea. Participants engaged in sessions covering sustainable practices, the evolution of cruise tourism, and the rise of new nautical destinations.

A significant moment for ADRIJOROUTES occurred on October 25th, when the project participated to a Round Table dedicated to sustainable maritime tourism and transport. Together with representatives from the Italy-Croatia projects SITE and CYROS, innovative strategies to promote sustainability to valorise the beauty of Adriatic Italian and Croatian territories were explored, providing attention on the accessibility dimension. The round table tackled also greening maritime transports, through the contribution provided by CROSSCONNECT, CROSSFREIGHT, and TRANSH2 project.

Thanks to the Joint Secretariat of Italy-Croatia Programme, who organized this inspiring round table that will pave the ground to the fruitful collaboration among the projects and to all participants for their valuable contributions.
