The event is centered on activities and projects that go in the direction of sustainable development of the territory, in relation to tourism and environmental management. The best practices carried out by local administrations, private projects are presented and eleven technical tables are organized for a comparison between public and private on issues such as mobility, use of renewable sources, environmental protection.
Arpav is involved in two tables, “Blue economy and management of marine litter and beached litter”, chaired by the municipality of Chioggia, and “Hydraulic defense, safety and planning of maritime space”, led by the municipality of Rosolina. The Agency brings the experiences developed with two European projects, Marless, which tackles the problem of marine litter of the Adriatic, and Adriaclim which deals with carrying out studies and tools for adapting to the consequences of climate change along the Adriatic coast. The tables will be an opportunity for discussion with administrations and private entities on what has been achieved by the projects.
At the end of the Summit, an activity aimed at improving the quality of the sea and coastal areas will be presented, which will take place with the signing of the “sustainability charter” by the Venetian municipalities.
