Atri is an Italian town of 9,800 inhabitants. Historically rich, Atri (ancient Hadria) boasts architectural treasures such as the Cathedral, the Ducal Palace, the Capitular Museum, and the Municipal Theatre. The town hosts many cultural events, including music and theatre performances. Atri is also home to the Regional Nature Reserve, established in 1995 and managed by the WWF. The reserve covers 380 hectares and is defined by dramatic badlands, varied woodland, and open cultivated fields. It offers excellent opportunities for educational activities, hiking, and cycling tourism. The town is keen to join a consortium to develop projects on green, social and smart tourism.
